Be Yourself. Be Creative.
Located along Philadelphia’s culturally rich museum mile, Moore College of Art and Design also occupies a unique space within the art school landscape. Founded in 1848, Moore is the first and only visual arts college for women in the nation. What’s even more notable is that the founding principle of empowering women by developing their artistic ability and leadership capacity still holds true.
Where We Met Moore
With an outdated digital presence and a corporate brand identity that didn’t evoke the innovative work coming from it’s classrooms, Moore sought to revise both in quick succession. Our friends in New York at CCA reworked Moore’s brand, logo, identity, and enrollment collateral and we handled the website redesign. As we worked through the initial strategic phase of redesign, Moore kept us in the loop with previews of early brand concepts.
Collaborating with CCA
Once Moore decided on a direction (which we loved), Fastspot worked quickly with CCA to understand the brand and how it should be expressed throughout the website redesign. Through zoom calls, CCA reviewed in-progress designs with us and we updated our concepts as necessary prior to showing Moore. CCA also came to the table with a suite of ideas that we were thrilled to incorporate into our work: most notably check out the animated logo which is triggered by clicking on the main menu. In return, we provided crucial expertise in terms of accessibility, best practices, and supplemented the brand so that it would work best on a digital platform.
"It was incredibly helpful to have two teams that both had their specialties, their areas of expertise, working on the project at the same time. The success here has really been phenomenal. We’ve had great responses to the brand, especially with our target audience. We’re an art and design school and now we actually look the part."
